August 4, 2019, Corinthians played another Derby in its history, but the most important message was given before game started. Timão gave visibility to the #CureAMarina campaign, created for little Marina Souza, at the time 11 months old, who was having the expensive treatment for the chronic and progressive SMA disease (Spinal Muscular Atrophy).

At that time, Corinthians’ players walk in the field with little Marina and her mother Talita Souza carrying a banner about the campaign. Just before completing a year of this contribution and with the help of thousands of people, including Timão players, former athletes of the club like Ronaldo and other celebrities, the campaign reached its goal last Thursday (25).

With the amount collected, Marina's parents will be able to purchase Zolgensma, a medicine that is applied in a single dose and costs about R$ 12 million at the current dollar rate, considered the most effective curing SMA.

Sport Club Corinthians Paulista is honored to have contributed to the success of the campaign and thanks everyone who was able to help little Marina.
