Last Friday (22), Corinthians increased his number of matches in history even without entering the field for the last days. This happened because the club discovered a friendly match that was not yet part of the club's records.

The game against Rio Claro was a friendly match played in December 25th of 1916, a Christmas Monday, and Timão defeated Rio Claro Futebol Clube for 3-2. The match took place in the former field of Grêmio dos Empregados da Companhia Paulista, in Rio Claro (SP).

Corinthians entered in the field with the following players: Casemiro do Amaral, Fúlvio e Casemiro González; Police, Plínio e César Nunes; Américo, Marconi, Amílcar (capitão), Cosntantino e Neco. These players, from now on, count one more game played and one more victory in their historical accounting. Unfortunately, newspapers did not register the names of the referee and the scorers.

Celso Unzelte, journalist and researcher of the club's history and creator of the app Almanaque do Timão, revealed that data was collected by José Carlos Arnosti, historian of Rio Claro, and by Nelcy Pauletto, his research partner, for the Facebook page memorial.rioclarofc, and reached the game through the journalist Iberê Riveras.

With this finding, the accounting of the club's historic goals has also been changed to the following:
