After some difficult times playing in Ukraine, Sidcley has now found a new opportunity at Corinthians.

The 26-year-old believes that the experience of living outside of Brazil can help the team on the pitch.

He said: “I’m now a more experienced player, after some years out of Brazil. I will give my best and I can promise grit. “At Corinthians there are no guarantees of who’s playing and who sits on the bench. Everyone is at the same level and it will be a healthy option.”

Midfielder Víctor Cantillo has also been announced and wants to leave his mark on Brazilian football.

Signed from Atlético Junior de Barranquilla (COL), new Timão player praised hero Freddy Rincón, multiple champion for Corinthians, and stated he’s at the club to help the team reach their objectives.

“Freddy left his mark in Brazilian football, so it will be hard to achieve the same. But I’m focused in my football, conquering a place in the first 11 to compete and support Corinthians to become even greater,” Cantillo said.

“I have a story in Colombia, I won several titles, but in Brazil I’m not known. I have to do things right to conqueror my position.”

The 26-year-old described himself as a versatile midfielder, who can be used in multiple positions. “I believe I’m a midfielder who reach more the opponent area, with a good quality pass, smart and with good technical skills. I hope to have the opportunity to show my skills to the fans”.

During his first press conference, Luan revealed he’s been a Corinthians fan since his childhood.

He said: “I think this shirt fits me very well. I used to wear it since I was a young kid. This is being a dream come true”.

Luan has been asked about his physical condition and stated he wants to give everything for the club, knowing that no one will be always at 100 per cent.

Being asked about the place where he prefers to play, he said that is up to the coach, Tiago Nunes.

He said: “I already played in every position in the attack. No matter where the coach wants me to play, I’ll help.”
